36 weeks 3 days
This past Thursday, November 1st, I hit 36 weeks. My ob dr appointment was Friday the next day. I was super curious if I was making any progress. She checked me and I was fully effaced and about 1+ dialated. That was exciting news. She got us to wait around and we got to do a ultrasound to see how big he was getting to be. She took all sorts of measurements and he was 5lbs 11ounces. She tried her hardest to get a good pic of him, but he was too wiggly. Oh well, not much longer till we get to meet him in person.
Cannot wait!!! Will post a bellly pic soon. :) My next appointment is Wednesday, so I am hoping for some more progress.

35 weeks 4 days
Well ths Thursday will be 36 weeks! Down to the final few weeks. So crazy! Cannot wait. Will miss my baby belly, but ready for him to get out of there. Hopefully he will come a week or more early so it can line up with Derek's vacation days since the dates got put in wrong.
I am still working with no end date in the book as of now. Well lots has changed otherwise. First we started up the Martin farm last monday (11/22) and 4 of the original chickens (the reds) came back to live with us. Sadly, today (11/29)we only have three. I didn't get home in time to shut their coop till 8pm when it was dark last night (they put themselves to bed, so I assumed all 4 were in the coop like usual because they always stay together. This morning we let them out into the yard and there were only 3 and as of tonight when I put them to bed, still no number 4.
Another chicken story before I move on... On Sunday afternoon I about had a heart attack. I went out to chicken coop to throw some food out for the night (since they are out in yard during the day) and discovered a visitor... a racoon! He apparently knows how to open the latch to get to where the food is kept. (been finding it open a few days in a row) He got the bag open and spilled out a pile!
Ok... really last one... lol... we had the chickens maybe one full day and after picking Macyn up from daycare we go out before dinner to play with and take care of chickens. We look and cannot find the 4th one! So we look and look... cannot find anywhere. Maybe 5 or more minutes go by and Derek says Oh my gosh! The chicken has crushed itself in between a section of the fence and the chicken wire layer on it. Luckly we were able to rescue her. Derek worked on getting her out while I pulled on chicken wire. If we had been much longer, so probably would have suffocated herself. It was so scarry! She walked arouund all crazy for a while. Then she was fine.

Ok... moving on! In exciting news we were able to get a amazng deal on a 2012 Chevy Sonic on Wednesday. Derek haggled and got us the best deal ever. Only thing is it is a stick shift. So in order to drive my new car, I had to learn stick. Thursday and Friday after work I had my first lessons. I practiced by myself on our dead end road and thought about driving to my parents house, but was too nervous. Sunday I drove to church, to my parents house, walmart, and back home with Derek. Then after he went to work, I ventured onto 70 to go back to my parents house, It is kinda scarry and stressful, but I am getting it quicker than I thought. Driving in heavy traffic today stressed me out, but I did it. Cannot wait to be better at it so I won't feel that way. Here is a pic. Need a better one that is out of garage during day, but here it is:

3 months to go!
Today I am 24 weeks, 2 days. Cannot believe there is only 3 months to go! Last week I finally started to become very limited on my what I could wear out of my wardrobe. So my mom took me and we got a few maternity things to start me off. I was down to one pair of soft skinny jeans and some of my t-shirts that barly covered my tummy. LOL. I def looked like a red neck. One of my new shirts is in the pic below.
Here is a pic that you can finally tell I have a baby belly. Cannot believe at 24 weeks compaired to 19 weeks when we found out it was a boy. Now even customers at work are even starting to notice below my baggy chick-fil-a uniform top.

Out with storage room, in with baby furnature!
Today we finally got to move in the baby furnature! When we first moved in the room was being used for storage. The room was full of storage stuff and huge black contractor plastic garbage looking bags that we moved all our stuff in. Since Macyn is in Tennessee with my mom and sister visiting that side of the family I finally had the time and made myself get to work. So after a long weekend of sorting and organizing, the room was finally set for the nursrey furnature that we got. Check it out. The cats wanted to be in the pics too LOL. Now to decorate :)

Too cool
Today is 20 weeks 4 days. Wanted to post something I thought was really cool.
Yesterday when I was sitting on the couch the baby was moving around like crazy, so I put my hands on my belly to see if I could feel it from the outside. Turns out I could! So that night when Derek got home we were relaxing on the couch watching tv and he was moving around again and got Derek to see if he could feel. He moved alot and he could feel him. Then was just sitting there with my shirt pushed up off my belly and was looking down and you can acutally see the big movements from the outside. It was sooo crazy! Really cool! His little foot is like the size of your first joint of your pinkie finger, so I had no idea we could feel him from the outside, yet alone see some movements on my skin. It was really cool. :)

Half way there!
I can't believe I am half way there! Here is how it all begain. I totally forgot I had taken this pic of that is how I would have started out the first post. Yes I took three. :)
Now at 20 weeks 3 days time really has sped up. It is really hard to take a pic of my belly. Looks alot smaller when we try to get pics of my belly than when you see me in person. He still does not have a name, but he has been wiggling around so much.
I tried to take a few today...
Well will post again soon.

Too Cute! Baby boy style
Love the modern baby clothes they have now. Like adult styles for babies. It is sooo cute! This is what I would love to dress up the baby in. No cartoon characters or overalls or anything old fashioned.
It's a boy! Ultrasound pics
July 5th, 2012
Ultrasound @ 19 weeks
Baby weighs 11oz
Sure has changed alot from that tiny blob from the first ultrasound at only 8 weeks. He was very wiggly when she was looking at him. Cannot believe the detail when we got to watch him move on the big screen. It was too cool! She said his foot was like the size of your 1st joint of your pinky finger.
Here we go:

Names and Nursrey ideas...
So we are thinking and researching baby now names. They are soo much harder than girl names.
One thing I did find that we really like is the modern baby nursrey. Here are a couple of pics I found on pinterest.
Here is the idea for the 1st pic below. I want a nursery to be be modern, clean and minimal with neutral walls and lots of splashes of color throughout.
The first one is my favorite: The colors of the hanging lanterns/stars and the gray, black, and white. Our nursrey furnature is white, so would look awesome I think. The second one I really like the dark gray wall with the trees and birds.
Now to go back to name researching....

It's a Boy!
Thursday July 5th: 19weeks
Who knew! We were all thinking girl, but turns out it's a boy! Now the fun stuff can begin. Picking out the name, setting up a nursrey, and much more. We were all set with Genevive, but now that it is a boy, that def won't work. LOL Boys names are soo much harder.
Off to think of names...

Week 18! Kinda late, but better than never
I am really gonna try hard to keep this blog updated now that I am almost half way there! I ment to do this from the day we found out about the baby, but time got away from me. I came accross nother ladys blog today that was so cool and so now I want to try it out. So here we go!
The baby is Due November 29th, 2012. So we'll see if we have a November baby or a December baby :)
Today I am 18 weeks and 3 days pregnant with Baby Martin. I am so excited because on Thursday July 5th at 2:30pm we will be finding out if it is a baby girl or boy!
Here is when we got to see the baby for the 1st time @ 8weeks:
I cannot wait to see the baby on Thursday at 19 weeks!
Baby movement:
In other news I am pretty sure I have been feeling the baby move for the last week or so! It is so awesome :) Cannot wait till she/he is bigger.
How I am feeling:
I am feeling really good now. I started feeling nausious all the time from 8 weeks to about 13 weeks. I am so thankful that I never once threw up. A couple times I came really close, but that was it and it passed. I slowly had to figure out what to eat to keep my blood sugar from crashing, especially at work, and that alone helped alot. Then magically at 14 weeks, I started feeling so much better day after day.
My belly:
Well my belly is finally starting to show and look more like a baby belly than just like I ate too much. Some people say I don't even look pregnant, but I have always been skinny, so anyone who knows me better says they can definantly tell. I am ready for it to stick out more so there will be no mistake between a bit of belly fat and baby bump. :) Here is a not so good pic. Need to take a new one.
Well that is all for now. Will post Thursday all the details!!!! CANNOT WAIT!!!
